Can I interest anyone in some Tuesday dingers? Silly question. Of course I can. Let's gun for a juicy payout with my three favorite home run props for Tuesday's MLB slate.
Toronto Blue Jays starter Yusei Kikuchi likely had nightmares about facing Ryan Mountcastle this week. In 12 career at-bats against Kikuchi, Mountcastle has crushed him for seven hits and four home runs. The first baseman is also the hottest hitter on the Baltimore Orioles right now, as he leads the team in hits (15), home runs (four), and RBIs (11) over the last two weeks. This is the best hitter-pitcher matchup on Tuesday's slate, and we're getting +500 for it. Please and thank you.
There are almost too many factors pointing toward a Julio Rodriguez dinger Tuesday night. For starters, Rodriguez is absolutely on fire with 18 hits and two home runs in his last 27 at-bats. No one in MLB is seeing the ball better than him right now. Rodriguez also has previous success against Chicago White Sox starter Mike Clevinger with three hits and a homer in five ABs against the right-hander. Oh, and the projected 19 percent boost to home runs at Guaranteed Rate Field (Ballpark Pal) is the largest of any game on the schedule. This is a no-brainer.
Cleveland Guardians starter Noah Syndergaard has surrendered six home runs over his last three starts, so he's a solid target to fade in the HR prop market. Let's roll with Freddie Freeman, who's batting .417 with three doubles and a homer in 24 career at-bats against Syndergaard. Freeman is in a bit of a power slump with no home runs in 13 straight games, but this is a perfect matchup for him to snap the streak.
