A match for the International title is now set for Double or Nothing.
Will Ospreay won a Casino Gauntlet match that was held on Dynamite, defeating Komander with the hidden blade. He will now face Roderick Strong for the International title at Double or Nothing on May 26 in Las Vegas.
The gauntlet, which wasn’t announced before the show, included Jay White, Dante Martin, Penta El Zero Miedo, Kyle O’Reilly, Ospreay, Lance Archer, Komander, and Jay Lethal. The finish had O’Reilly putting Ospreay in the cross-arm breaker, allowing Komander to hit a ropewalk shooting star press. Ospreay then hit the hidden blade for the win.
One of the stories in the match had Ospreay hesitate before using the Tiger Driver 91, a move he said he would no longer use after he hit the move on Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty, causing injury. Backstage, Don Callis asked Ospreay why he didn’t use the move. He pushed Ospreay to use the move on Strong, noting that he has had neck issues in the past.
